Residential Sculpture - Mixed Media

Print

My mixed media sculptures shown below represent a more eclectic and playful side of my career as an artist.

STARFLOWER nestled amongst laurels and rhododendrons on the grounds of my husband’s and my home in Cambridge, Massachusetts, before we moved to a nearby cooperative apartment, where it now resides on our balcony.

The whimsical FRIENDLY DRAGON was created following an exhilarating trip to China.  Sold, it is in the garden of a summer home in Manchester, Massachusetts, opposite an equally whimsical metal sculpture of an anteater.

PHOENIX incorporates the colors and zest of a harlequin.  A floor piece, it brings a joyous zest to its surroundings.

HEARTHSONG was commissioned by a client for the fireplace of her Cambridge, Massachusetts, home – she did not enjoy making fires, but she sought a reminder of their colorful and dance-like flames.

These sculptures were executed between 1994 and 2000.  Adjusted for inflation, their approximate current (January 2006) cost would range between $2,100 and $6,300.
